The Institute of Physics (the FZU) is a public research institution, concentrating on basic and applied research in the field of physics. At the Department of Chemistry, we are looking for a colleague to work in a European project for the following role:

Scientist (f/m) for organic synthesis Job description:

  • Experimental work in organic synthesis at a fully equipped laboratory
  • The characterisation of prepared compounds
  • Cooperation with foreign partners on an international project
  • The preparation of scientific outputs and the presentation of results at conferences
  • Other related activities.

We required:

  • MA or PhD in organic chemistry
  • Expertise in organic synthesis and structural analysis
  • Ability to work independently in organic synthesis
  • Ability to speak and understand Czech language
  • Good knowledge of English (ability to write scientific reports)
  • Responsibility, attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate with other team members
