The targeted research group HBV Cure at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry Prague (IOCB Prague) led by Gabriel Birkuš, is focused on the discovery of novel therapies to treat chronic hepatitis B and other viral infections, cancer, and inflammatory disorders.
We are seeking a highly motivated technician to join our multidisciplinary team to participate in the collection and processing of samples from mouse models, work with tissue cultures, molecular biology, immunology, and biochemistry experiments, work in a BSL3 laboratory, and other activities related to projects focusing on the development of HBV and cGAS inhibitors.

Work description:
- Analysis of immune response (qPCR, Luminex)
- Immunochemical testing (ELISA, Immunoprecipitations)
- Work with cell cultures
- DNA and RNA isolation from tissues and tissue culture samples, isolation of plasmid DNA
- Work in BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories
- Work with in vivo mouse models (collection and processing of samples)
- Data processing and presentation (Microsoft Office)
We require:
- University degree (Bc. or M.S. degree) within a field of virology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioanalytics or pharmacy
- Previous laboratory experience in a biochemistry/molecular biology laboratory is an advantage
- Willingness to work with mouse models is an advantage
- Knowledge of standard molecular biology/biochemistry techniques
- Independence, accountability, and reliability
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication skills in English
