Non-academic research position at the Department of Agrosystems and Bioclimatology, Faculty of AgriSciences

Research area: plant cultivation, field experimentation

The Department of Agrosystems and Bioclimatology focuses on research and education in various agricultural management systems – integrated, precision, and ecological. The department conducts complex long-term field experiments on its experimental plots, addressing issues related to agronomic measures, such as soil processing, establishment and care of crops, crop rotation, cover crops, and weed control. Numerous experiments concentrate on researching the impacts of and adaptation measures for climate change and the increasing occurrence of meteorological extremes.

What will your job responsibilities be?

  • conducting field experiments
  • assessing crops – diseases, pests, growth stages, morphological traits, etc.
  • sampling of plants, soil, etc.
  • organizing the care of experiments
  • administration related to field experiments
  • preparation of tenders, contract creation, material orders, etc.
  • administration and organization of seasonal staff work (post-harvest analyses, etc.)
  • preparing and assisting with practical teaching
  • promoting the experimental station on social media

What do we expect from you?

  • completed master’s degree in agricultural sciences
  • experience with field experiments
  • proficiency in PC use – MS Office and others
  • independence, meticulousness, and responsible approach to work
  • organizational skills
  • driving license category B (active driver)
  • time flexibility

What research experience do we require?

  • experience working on projects
  • experience with field research – data collection
