Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics at the Faculty of Science MU offers a postdoctoral position in String Theory. The string theory group consists of permanent members Klaus Bering, Josef Kluson, Rikard von Unge and Linus Wulff. The position is partly financed by the grant “Dualities and Higher derivatives” (GA23-06498S) from the Czech Science Foundation. Candidates with a background in related topics are particularly encouraged to apply. The position is for a fixed term of two years, with expected extension to a third year depending on available funding. The starting date is September 2024.

Key Duties:
- To perform research in string theory of high international level
- To assist in the supervision of PhD students
Skills and Qualifications
The applicant must have:
- PhD Degree in Theoretical Physics.
- Experience in research in string theory with a strong track record
- Good communication skills (oral and written) in English
