Academic Staff Member at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of AgriSciences

The Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Engineering is part of the Faculty of AgriSciences at MENDELU and focuses on educational and research activities in areas such as the operation and use of agricultural technology for livestock breeding, agricultural technology for crop production and plant protection, technology for food processing and feed production, waste technology and environmental engineering, agricultural and industrial buildings, electrical engineering and automation, technical expertise and valuation.

What will be your job role?

  • preparation and conduction of selected lectures and exercises in the field of electrical engineering, control automation, cybernetics and robotics
  • teaching in both Czech and English
  • developing educational as well as scientific-research and creative activities in the given area
  • active participation in solving research projects and grants
  • presentation of research results in the form of publications in professional and scientific journals

What do we expect from you?

  • university degree at the Bachelor’s level in the field of Control Automation and Computer Science, Master’s degree in Open Informatics
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language (C1) and advanced knowledge of the English language (B1)
  • basic practical experience in teaching at the university level (e.g. preparation of electrical engineering laboratory tasks for students)
  • willingness and capability to teach
  • expertise and practical experience in the fields of electrical engineering, automation, cybernetics and robotics
  • professional competence in electrical engineering according to Government Regulation No. 194/2022 Coll. (the lecturer conducts laboratory exercises with students in the electrical engineering laboratory)
  • basic practical work experience in solving research projects
  • publication activity
  • driver’s license category A (active driver)

What research experience do we require?

  • basic experience in the issue of grant titles for research projects (e.g. participation in research projects of NAZV, TAČR)

Employment contract: fixed term till 31. 08. 2028
