Assigned Work:

Research project activities at the Department of Pharmacology, CardioTox In Vivo Research Group, in experimental cardiovascular research into the mechanisms of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity, new options of pharmacological cardioprotection and treatment of the specific form of heart failure. The work will mainly involve employment of translational in vivo animal models together with molecular (qRT-PCR and Western blot) analyses.

Application requirements:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent academic degree (equivalent to ISCED level 8) in a biomedical program (Pharmacology, Toxicology, Physiology or related field). PhD candidates currently finishing their degrees can also apply, but formal confirmation of their successful PhD defence will be a mandatory requirement for entering this position.
  • Be a Junior researcher according to definition of OP JAC, which means a researcher who was awarded his/her Ph.D. no more than 7 years ago (exceptions apply);
  • H-index ≥ 3;
  • Demonstrated publication activity in the relevant research field: min. 1 first-authored publication (preferably with IF ≥ 3), grant activity is an advantage;
  • Prerequisite skills for research and scientific work;
  • Experience with in vivo cardiovascular pharmacology and/or physiology research as an advantage;
  • Experience with qRT-PCR and/or Western Blotting as an advantage;
  • Active knowledge of English; Czech language as an advantage;
  • PC skills;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Health capacity for work, moral integrity.

  • 2 letters of recommendation from recognized experts in their research field (at least 1 from a foreign institution);
