What will your job involve?
- Planning, organization, and oversight of all aspects of the department’s activities
- Management of the department’s budget and resources
- Supervision of academic and research staff, including regular evaluations
- Teaching and research activities in the field
- Ensuring high quality of teaching and student guidance
- Supporting research activities and obtaining grants for the department
- Collaboration with other departments
What do we expect from you?
- A university degree – at least a Ph.D. in the field of economics and management of forestry and wood industry or a related field; a position as associate professor or professor is an advantage
- Excellent active knowledge of Czech and knowledge of English for teaching and publication purposes
- Documentable research activities in the field of economics and management of forestry and wood industry or related fields, experience publishing in journals with IF and leading research projects at both national and international levels
- Ability to navigate labor law regulations and economic rules of operation in higher education
- Organizational, managerial, and communication skills
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Personal and professional prerequisites for teaching activities
- Willingness to work on personal development and professional growth
