In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline May 31, 2026

Full Professor (50% load) at the Department of Numerical Mathematics – teaching for approximately 2-4 hours per week, scientific work and supervision of student theses.

Qualifications

Full professor or its equivalent in the field of numerical solution of partial differential equations, publication activity in relevant journals, ability to integrate the research and pedagogical activities including supervising of student theses, proved ability to get research funding. Expected fluent English as well as basic communication in Czech.
