Academic Position at the Department of Silviculture, Forestry and Wood Technology Faculty

Research field: agroforestry

The Department of Silviculture has long been engaged in research and education in the area of forest regeneration, establishment, and cultivation with an emphasis on ecologically and economically sustainable management. It collaborates with various domestic and international institutions and actively participates in addressing current challenges in forestry, including the impacts of climate change and adaptation measures in forest ecosystems.

What will your job role?

  • preparation and conducting lectures, practicals, and excursions under the guidance of a supervisor focusing on agroforestry
  • conducting lectures and practicals in both Czech and English
  • consultation, supervision, and opponent work on seminar and bachelor students’ theses
  • developing educational as well as scientific-research and creative activities in the field through independently
  • conducted work on data collection and processing
  • presenting research results through publications in scientific journals
  • actively supporting the project activities of the department

What do we expect from you?

  • completed master’s degree in forestry, horticulture, or arboriculture
  • excellent command of both Czech and English languages
  • experience in supervising students’ final projects at least in a consultant role
  • active knowledge of MS Office products
  • publishing activity

What additional qualifications would be appreciated?

  • driving license category B – active driver

Expected start date: September 2025

Duration of employment: fixed term for 1 year with the possibility of extension

Workload: 0,1 – 0,2 (4 – 8 hours per week)
