Overview

We are seeking new colleagues to join our lab and develop cutting-edge AI tools for HPC systems. You will become a part of the  national and international projects like LUMI AI Factory and Czech AI Factory projects. Your role will involve developing innovative AI applications and agentic solutions, researching AI reliability and bias reduction, supporting industrial partners in AI adoption, and creating tools to streamline AI workflows on HPC infrastructure. IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre is a leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics (HPDA), Quantum Computing (QC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and their applications. Activity description:
· development of new AI enabled tools,
· optimization of training and inference pipelines for AI models,
· collaborate with a well established group of developers and researchers creating highly innovative platforms that make life easier for other scientists.

Full time equivalent: 1,0
Type of job contract: fixed-term employment
Expected start of employment: 1. 5. 2025 or as agreed
Number of positions: 4

We require:
· minimum Msc.  in computer science or mathematics,
· required experience:
o     knowledge of AI libraries such as PyTorch, DeepSpeed, YOLO, Unsloth,
o     broad knowledge of models and trends in the  AI community,
o     experience with data analysis and processing,
· experience with the following technologies is an advantage:
o     experience with High Performance Computing systems,
o     work in Linux environment and CLI,
o     code containerisation,
o     proficiency with git,
o     Ph.D. in computer science or mathematics,
o     proven scientific record in AI topics,
· will to work in an international environment which requires good communication skills in the English language both spoken and written,
· ability to learn new technologies and to work in a dynamic research environment.
