At LAM-X we focus on the development of photo-active antimicrobial nanofibers. Our goal is to use our innovative technology to disrupt the market with applications in water filtration, medical devices, bioanalytical tools and other. We are seeking a biochemist (or similar background) who can help us in our mission to implement our innovative nanotechnology into broad spectrum of applications. The ideal candidate will be someone able to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment. Candidates with a relevant background in biochemistry, microbiology, or related fields will be considered. If you are interested in this open position, please, send us:

Responsibilities:

  • Experimental multidisciplinary work
  • Experimental work with protein analysis techniques (SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, Western blot analysis, Dot blot)
  • Independent work on R&D projects related to antimicrobial materials and water filtration systems
  • Conducting antibacterial tests and working with bacterial cultures
  • Performing water filtration experiments and evaluating antimicrobial efficacy of new materials
  • Careful keeping of laboratory records
  • Assistance with ensuring smooth operation of the lab, laboratory maintenance, general laboratory activities and duties
  • Staying current on the latest research in the field and on evolving technical standards and guidelines
  • Literature search on assigned topics, preparation of R&D proposals

Required hard skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Education in biochemistry, microbiology, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in research & development including work on PhD thesis
  • Strong background in biochemistry/microbiology with hands-on experience in protein analysis techniques (SDS-PAGE, Western blot)
  • Experience with basic microbiology techniques and bacterial culture work
  • Knowledge of antibacterial testing methods
  • Previous work experience in biochemistry/microbiology laboratory is a plus
  • Scientific literature writing
  • PC skills: Origin, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point
  • English – B1/B2 level at minimum
  • Previous work experience in private sector is a plus but not required
