Mission Statement

Through single-cell biology, computational biology and artificial intelligence, Immunai is reprogramming the immune system to develop improved drugs and therapeutics.

Who we are

Nebion AG is an established Swiss bioinformatics company headquartered in Zurich. In 2017, Nebion opened a second site in Prague. Our goal is to support target/biomarker discovery, translational biology and personalized medicine research in academia and industry by curating, integrating, and mining molecular data on a very large scale. Nebion commercializes GENEVESTIGATOR®, the premier gene expression search engine used by more than 1000 research institutions in academia and industry worldwide. In July 2021, Nebion became part of the Immunai Group.

Immunai is young and dynamic global company formed by a multidisciplinary team of immunologists, genomics technologists, computer scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and operators singularly focused on comprehensively mapping the immune system with single-cell biology and AI to power new therapeutic discoveries, accelerate drug development, and improve patient outcomes.

We are looking for multiple experienced data scientists to expand our biocuration team in Prague (Czech Republic).

Position Type: Full-time
Position start: January 2022 or upon agreement

Role responsibilities

  • Curation of single-cell data sets from a prioritized backlog
  • Author and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Keep up to date with current developments in the field
  • Contributing to bioinformatics pipeline development and maintenance
  • Contributing to internal and customer-oriented data analyses
  • Providing technical know-how to the business development team
  • Possibility to contribute to Nebion/Immunai publications

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (Ph.D. is a plus) in molecular and cell biology with strong background in bioinformatics or data science, or
  • Master’s degree (Ph.D. is a plus) in computational biology, bioinformatics or data sciences plus strong background in molecular and cell biology
  • Knowledge of immunology is a strong advantage.
  • Strong interest in single-cell omics. Experience in applied NGS data analysis such as transcriptomics (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq), additional experience with other omics methods is a plus
  • Demonstrable experience in programming languages required for data analysis (R and/or Python)
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix; bash scripts
  • Experience in building and maintaining bioinformatics tools/pipelines is a plus
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken
  • Attention to details
