Overview
Scientific position is available in the project “BRAINSCAPE: Cross-sectoral collaboration for the development of new technologies in psychiatry – precision medicine and new therapies” (OP JAK BRAINSCAPE) at the Institute of Computer Science, Prague (Czech Republic).
Within the BRAINSCAPE project, the ICS CAS will provide the necessary expertise in the analysis of complex data, including multimodal neuroimaging measurements, the use of information theory, nonlinear dynamic systems, network theory, statistics, and machine learning.
We offer a full-time position with the following benefits:
- Flexible working conditions including negotiable part time contract.
- Monthly gross salary: 54 – 72 thousand CZK based on qualifications and experience.
- Additional bonuses depending on performance.
- Travel funding for conferences and research stays.
- Five weeks of paid vacation on top of public holidays; social and health care insurance; child care facilities in the Institute’s building; highly attractive and safe location (Prague).
- No teaching duties.

- Hold a Ph.D.
- Have a strong background (commensurate to the respective career level) in neuroimaging data analysis, machine learning/AI/statistics, computational neuroscience or related fields) related to the project topics.
- Are fluent in English.
- Your prior experience with time series and network analysis is advantageous, but not required.
Conditions of the contract:
- Contract is for 12-36 months duration, with exceptions negotiable.
- Possibility of extension until end of project (31.12.2028), support for transition to tenure-track or external funding applications.
- Positions are available immediately or upon agreement.
