Director of the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovations Technical University of Liberec is inviting applications for the post of:

RESEARCHER to the department of ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY 8320

 

Job description:

  • researcher in Environmental Technology and/or Materials Engineering in the Environmental Technology Department
  • research and publication activities, presentation of results and outputs of R&D activities, self-education activities, cooperation in the preparation and implementation of national and international R&D projects, design and management of laboratory experiments and field verification of new processes and achieved knowledge intensive cooperation with the application and commercial sphere

Skills required:

  • experience in data analysis and interpretation and presentation of scientific results in oral and written form in Czech and English
  • Experience working in an environmental laboratory with a focus on water technology
  • experience in working with nanomaterials an advantage
  • ability to think critically and make independent decisions
  • ability to analyse solutions in detail and multi-criteria
  • high level of creativity and inventiveness in solving challenging technical and technological problems
  • reliability in meeting deadlines
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to finalise tasks
  • flexibility, responsibility and proactive approach
  • independence, communicative
  • Group B driving licence
  • knowledge of the Czech language, both written and verbal, enabling professional work

Required education:

  • completed university degree (Ing. or Mgr. or foreign equivalent) in a technical or natural science discipline with a focus on environmental technology, or chemical engineering, or materials engineering/nanomaterials at the time of recruitment
  • good knowledge of English in both written and verbal form (min. level B2), other foreign language is an advantage

Employment relationship:

  • 50% time, or by agreement
  • the employment contract will be concluded for a fixed term of at least 1 year with the possibility of extension in relation to the implementation of projects and the internal regulations of TUL

Date of entry:    01.09. 2023, or as agreed

Wage classification:

  • wage class C1 (R1) according to the Internal Wage Regulation
  • expected gross salary at 100% time: 38 000,- CZK depending on experience and practice. Possibility of payment of extraordinary bonuses in relation to the employee’s performance evaluation.

Working conditions and salary classification are governed by the Labour Regulations, the Internal Salary Regulations of the Technical University of Liberec, the Labour Code and the Regulations of the Selection Procedure for Filling the Positions of Academic Staff and Other Employees of the Technical University of Liberec.

The selection procedure will take place in the first round through an assessment of the documents received, and in the case of the second round through a personal or online interview with the selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection procedure within 30 calendar days of the end of the selection procedure.

The result of the selection procedure will be published on the official bulletin board of the Technical University of Liberec (https://www.tul.cz/univerzita/uredni-deska/kariera). The candidate is entitled to request the Director to comment on his/her result by e-mail hr.cxi@tul.cz within 14 calendar days from the date of publication of the decision. The Director will send the candidate his/her comments in writing within 14 calendar days of the date of receipt of the request.
