We are seeking a motivated researcher or research technician for a program focused on the preclinical development of drugs targeting cell signaling. The successful candidate will participate in projects involving drug testing and other experiments conducted in mouse models of genetic skeletal disorders, primarily contributing to the anatomical and histological analyses from these studies. Responsibilities include bone analysis, specifically specimen processing, microtomy techniques (paraffin and frozen), classical histological staining, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical staining, RNAscope, sample preparation for genomic analyses, and microscopy.
Our laboratory is a world-class research facility specializing in drug development for growth disorders such as achondroplasia and brittle bone disease. We host several international scientists and offer an excellent opportunity for a successful career in this field.
The successful candidate should have:
- a master’s degree in Biology or a related field,
- at least three years of hands-on work experience in anatomic pathology or histology,
- manual dexterity,
- strong practical skills in tissue histology,
- experience with microscopy and reporting experimental results,
- the ability to work effectively in an international team of scientists and technicians,
- motivation to achieve results,
- an excellent command of English,
- experience with basic laboratory animal handling is also valuable.
Gross salary: CZK 50,000-80,000/month depending on experience and skills.
Type of contract: Fixed-term employment contract with the possibility of extension.
Location: University Campus Brno, Kamenice 5, 625 00 Brno, Czech Republic.
Expected start date: during January 2026, or by agreement.
Working hours: Full-time.
