We are looking for a new colleague who would like to participate in research at our research centre in Buštěhrad. At the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings, we focus on applied research and development in the context of grant projects and contract work for companies. We would like to find someone who is knowledgeable in the field of circular economy with links to buildings and construction and is willing to participate in the formation of a new team.

The University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings brings together top academics from the Czech Technical University in Prague to work together on sustainable construction. The Centre was established in 2013 to connect the university with industry and focuses on commercialising research results and transferring technology into practical applications.

Job description:

  • A survey of examples of circular design
  • Optimising building design using circular principles
  • Evaluation of the proposal in terms of the degree of implementation of circular principles
  • Review of technical requirements for reuse of products and structures and recycling of materials

We expect:

  • Education in architecture and building design
  • Experience in using circular design an advantage
  • Experience with the life cycle assessment method an advantage
  • Overview of the criteria for assessing the circularity of building design
  • Ability to communicate in English
