What you will do
- Perform GD-OES analyses under the supervison of experienced staff, operate the spectrometer
- Interpret experimental data in terms of the composition of the analyzed samples
- Report the results to the submitters, collaborate with them on their research via GD-OES results and participate on preparing mutual publications by the description of the analyses made, in context of the particular research affected
- At a later stage, there is a chance to further develop the methodology of optical emission spectroscopy, using synergies existing among different research fields pursued at FZU. This itself has a potential to produce new original results that would be of interest among the analytical community.
Who we look for
- MSc or Ph.D. in Physics or Chemistry or a relevant field of Technology
- Problem solving ability, basic skills in statistics and data processing
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
- Creativity and analytical thinking
- Cooperative and open-minded person
- Good knowledge of Excel or a similar tool
