The Dean of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the director of the Bulovka Hospital announce the competitive hiring procedure for the (functional) position of:

the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics of the First Faculty of Medicine and Bulovka Hospital (FNB),
and, at the same time for candidates for the said post, also for the position of Professor or Associate Professor with the focus on Orthopaedics.

Expected appointment to the post: 1st January 2026.

Qualifications and other required:

University education in a relevant field, scientific-pedagogical degree of Professor or Associate Professor, specialised competence to practise as a doctor in the field of orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, practical experience of a team leader, min. 10 years of experience in the specialty, min. 5 years of teaching experience,  previous scientific and publishing activity, managerial and communication skills, prerequisites and qualifications for managing a professional and scientific team in the given field, knowledge of economics in health service, active command of  English language, no criminal records, civic integrity.

 

The Dean of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the director of the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion announce the competitive hiring procedure for the (functional) position of:

the Head of the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Hematology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine and the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion,
and, at the same time for candidates for the said post, also for the position of Professor or Associate Professor with the focus on hematology and blood transfusion.

Expected appointment to the post: 1st January 2026.

Qualifications and other required:

University education in a relevant field, scientific-pedagogical degree of Professor or Associate Professor, specialty in the field of hematology and blood transfusion, practical experience of a team leader, min. 10 years of experience in the field of specialty, min. 5 years of teaching experience, previous scientific and publishing activity, managerial and communication skills, prerequisites for leadership in a professional and scientific team in the given field, knowledge of economics in health service, active command of English language, no criminal records, civic integrity.
