Non-academic position at the Department of Viticulture and Enology, Faculty of Horticulture
The department provides education in subjects related to grapevine cultivation, grape processing, and wine production – viticulture, agronomy, ampelography, and biology of the grapevine, winemaking, and wine technologies. Emphasis is placed on applying theoretical knowledge to production practice in teaching. In its scientific research activities, the department focuses on breeding new grapevine varieties, monitoring substances in musts and their potential influence, and minimizing allergens in wine technology.
We are looking for a colleague to join a project focused on the implementation and development of supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) using CO₂ derived from biodynamic wine fermentation.
What will your job involve?
- independent execution of professional tasks in conducting experiments
- collection, analysis, and processing of data from laboratory and field studies
- independently ensuring cohesive parts of individual agendas and more complex tasks with interdisciplinary overlaps
- participation in conceptual and methodological work, creating new proposals for procedures
- preparation of scientific publications, reports, and presentations related to the research project
- ensuring administrative and technical support for research projects
What do we expect from you?
- completed master’s degree in viticulture and enology, enrolled in a Ph.D. program in the field
- professional experience in the field of viticulture and enology
- excellent knowledge of the Czech language, ability to publish in English
- good knowledge of PC usage (MS Office, searching in industry databases)
- ability to work independently as well as in a team
- proactive and responsible approach to work
What research experience do we require?

Workload: 0.7 (28 hours per week)
