Non-academic position at the Department of Agrochemistry, Pedology, Microbiology, and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of AgriSciences

Research Area: soil organic matter, soil ecology, agriculture, soil amendment substances, fertilizers, analytical methods

The soil ecology research group focuses on integrating technological, pedological, and agronomic research approaches to characterize agricultural and environmental influences on soil quality and health, fertility, quantity and diversity of soil microorganisms, and on preserving or improving ecosystem functions.

What will your job responsibilities be?

  • preparation and realization of laboratory/container/field experiments
  • sampling, analysis, and processing of soil and plant biomass samples
  • preparation of scientific publications, reports, and presentations related to the research project
  • ensuring technical support for the research project
  • active participation in project meetings and scientific research project solving

What do we expect from you?

  • a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; higher education is preferred
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language; active knowledge of English is an advantage
  • experience working in a laboratory and with laboratory equipment
  • experience with conducting laboratory/container/field experiments is an advantage

What research experience do we require?

  • experience with research and experimentation (testing)/sampling is welcome

Expected start date: January 2026, or by agreement

Duration of employment: fixed-term for 1 year with the possibility of extension
