Non-academic position at the Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, Microbiology, and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of AgriSciences

Research Area: bio-char, soil organic matter, soil ecology, ecological/regenerative agriculture, soil amendments, fertilizers, analytical methods, emissions

The soil ecology research group focuses on integrating technological, pedological, and agronomic research approaches to characterize agricultural and environmental influences on soil quality and health, fertility, quantity, and diversity of soil microorganisms, and on the preservation or enhancement of ecosystem functions.

What will your job entail?

  • conducting research experiments in the field of soil ecology
  • collecting, analyzing, and processing data from laboratory and field studies
  • preparing scientific publications, reports, and presentations related to the research project
  • presenting, promoting, and popularizing research results
  • responsibility for fulfilling activities/outcomes of research projects
  • active participation in project meetings

What do we expect from you?

  • Master’s degree, ongoing doctoral studies in a relevant field, Ph.D. completion is an advantage
  • excellent knowledge of English, active knowledge of Czech is an advantage
  • experience with laboratory work including sample processing, data analysis, and working with laboratory equipment
  • experience with conducting laboratory/container/field experiments is an advantage
  • publication activity, ability to write scientific articles, reports in English

What research experience do we require?

  • practical experience with soil and/or plant analysis
  • experience with managing research projects/international projects is an advantage
  • experience in presenting results/outcomes
  • ability for statistical data processing (knowledge of R studio/Statistica tools is an advantage)
