Non Academic Staff Member- Project Researcher II for the Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, Microbiology and Plant Nutrition

Research field: soil organic matter, soil ecology, agriculture, soil amendments, fertilizers, analytical procedures

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

The soil ecology research group focuses on linking technological , pedological and agronomic research approaches to characterize agricultural and environmental influences on soil quality and health, on the fertility, abundance and diversity of soil microorganisms, and on maintaining or improving ecosystem functions.

What will be your job role?

  • realization of research experiments in the field of soil ecology
  • analysing soil/plant samples
  • preparation of scientific publications, reports and presentations related to the research project
  • participation in professional conferences, seminars and popularization of research results
  • active participation in project meetings and preparation of grant applications

What are our requirements?

  • completed university education of master’s degree
  • excellent knowledge of Czech language and moderately advanced knowledge of English
  • experience in laboratory work including sample processing, data analysis and work with laboratory equipment
  • publishing activity, ability to write reports, project applications
  • active participation in research projects

Required research experience:

  • practical experience in preparation and analysis of soil/plant samples
  • experience in presentation of results/outputs

Job status: 1,0 (40 hours per week)
