Overview
Non-academic position at Mendeleum – Institute of Genetics, Faculty of Horticulture
Research area: production in vitro, sterilization of thermolabile substances, implementation of nanoparticles into in vitro operation, microbiology
The NanoPerspective project is being developed in cooperation with Mendel University, which has long-term experience in the development of modern nanomaterials and in vitro operation. VITROTREE BY BATTISTINI s.r.o. plans to establish a manufacturing division focused on nanomaterials with antibacterial effects and their integration into the production process.
The project responds to the need to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve the quality and reliability of in vitro production, which often faces issues with bacterial contamination and costly sterilization procedures. The goal is to develop and implement a new type of antibacterial nanomaterial, intended for application directly into in vitro media after sterilization (up to 55 °C). This approach will help reduce the occurrence of bacterial infections, lower sterilization costs, and encourage the use of biodegradable materials.
The project focuses on two technological objectives:
- TO1 – Product: development of an innovative antibacterial nanomaterial
- TO2 – Process: optimization of sterilization and implementation of thermolabile substances including the nanomaterial into production
The successful realization of both objectives will also enable energy and waste transformation of the company, particularly reducing dependence on natural gas and more efficient processing of biodegradable waste.
The project supports applicants with limited work experience – it is intended for graduates who have completed their master’s or doctoral studies no more than 6 years ago.
What will your job responsibilities be?
