Job description
A two-year experimental postdoctoral research position is open on an OP JAK funded project No. CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004617, ECO&Stor. The position is focused on development and operando characterization of novel electrocatalytic materials for renewable energy storage, namely in hydrogen and CO2 valuation processes. The planned studies aim to develop a new class of catalysts based on experimental determination of the reaction mechanisms using operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy. The successful candidate will be involved in extensive development of measurement protocols for in-situ and operando soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy as well as solution and gas phase-based syntheses of novel catalysts for OER and CO2RR. Some details can be found in our recent works on the topic (DOI: 10.1016/j.electacta.2024.145066, DOI: 10.1021/acselectrochem.5c00033). The primary workplace will be Prague, with extensive travel to synchrotrons. The position is available immediately.
