In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline May 15, 2024

The position in the IPNP BSM group lead by Assoc. prof. M. Malinský and Dr. K. Gráf is partially funded from the PRIMUS project No. 114-45/247150 „Beyond the Standard Model with Nuclei, Astrophysics and Cosmology“. Expected commencement date is October 1 2024, expected contract duration is 2 years (with possible extension to 3rd year).

The Committee may invite selected candidates to give a lecture to the academic community of the Faculty.

Qualifications

  • We look for a postdoctoral fellow in the early stage of their career with a Ph.D. (at the contract commencement date) in theoretical particle physics or adjacent fields. The successful candidate should have expertise in BSM physics, specifically, in effective-field-theoretical approaches (SMEFT, etc.) and their UV completions. Ideally, the candidate should also have hands-on experience with collider phenomenology and searches for dark matter. Certain knowledge of more formal aspects of particle theory, such as holography, is a big plus. Former foreign experience is expected.
