Dean of the Faculty of Environment at UJEP in Usti nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position Post-doc in Environmental Science at Faculty of Environment, UJEP

Requirements for applicant:
· PhD in Environmental Science preferably in Ecology/ Earth Sciences / Vegetation Ecology / Landscape Ecology / Ecosystem dynamics / Landscape reclamation or similar.
· Must have a good motivation and interest to carry out research in the field of biodiversity of post-mining or postindustrial ecology (knowledge of the fauna and flora of Central Europe can be an advantage, but it is not a requirement).
· The applicant must have competent knowledge in R programming language or similar.
· May travel locally and internationally for sampling.
· Should be proficient in English.
· Having a driving license would be useful but is NOT a requisite.
· Should have excellent publication record.
Work content
· Joining the Department of Environment
· Independent as well as teamwork in the field of biodiversity of post-mining or postindustrial ecology
· Consultation of Ph.D. and undergrad final thesis of students
· Independent and excellent publication activity

The selection procedure will be conducted in the first round by examining the materials supplied as part of the application form and, where appropriate, in the second round by a personal interview with the selected candidates.
Dean of the faculty can withdraw the announcement any time before the final contract agreement if unexpected circumstances arise.
