Job description
A PhD student position in DNA nanotechnology is available at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry in Prague on a project focused on the next generation digital data storage using DNA nanostructures. We are performing a range of experiments to evaluate the ionizing radiation response of DNA origami nanostructures in our laboratories as well as on large infrastructures worldwide. We are primarily interested in a candidate from the field of theory who will work on image data extraction, data analysis, or supporting coarse-grain and multiscale models for the experiments. However, we can also find some interesting topics for the candidates from the related experimental fields.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent.
Desired skills
Self-motivation, willingness to learn, basics of Python programming. Experience with DNA origami, image data extraction, oxDNA, AFM imaging, radaition chemistry/physics.
