Přehled
About us
Our laboratory is a world-class research facility mainly focused on fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling. Via understanding of FGF-FGF receptor signaling we aim to develop novel drugs for growth disorders. We combine animal physiology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology to uncover molecular mechanisms of disease and accelerate therapeutic discovery. Our team is composed of several international scientists and offers an excellent opportunity for a successful career in the field.
Position overview
We are seeking a Cell/molecular biologist or biophysicist with expertise in microscopy and basic background in recombinant protein production to join our interdisciplinary research team. The ideal candidate will process samples and perform confocal and super-resolution microscopy analyses, participate in recombinant protein production, specifically protein purification, and contribute to hypothesis development and data interpretation in collaboration with other researchers in the team.
Key responsibilities
Bright, confocal and super-resolution microscopy analyses of selected cells and animal tissues. Process raw microscopy data using appropriate software (Zen, Fiji, and Imaris). Maintain detailed records of image acquisition settings and processing steps. Protein purification using various chromatography methods. Work closely with other researchers to understand project goals. Contribution to scientific publications, presentations, and grant proposals.
Successful candidate should have:
- MSc or PhD in Molecular biology, Cell biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or related field.
- At least three years of hands-on work experience with high-resolution microscopy analyses.
- Understanding of scientific image integrity and ethical publication standards.
- Familiarity with protein purification methods in both bacterial and mammalian expression systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong desire to discover.
- Excellent command of English.
- Practical experience with FPLC systems is an advantage.
