Academic Position at the Department of Marketing and Trade, Faculty of Business and Economics
Research Area: consumer behavior, international trade, business processes, marketing, marketing communication
The Department of Marketing and Trade provides education in subjects related to marketing, trade, and tourism at the Faculty of Business Economics, Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Faculty of Horticulture, and Institute of Lifelong Learning. It is significantly involved in research activities in several directions. The Department of Marketing and Trade employs teams of specialists focused on current topics in the areas of marketing, trade, and tourism, where they develop scientific-research and educational activities. We specialize in consumer behavior, observing consumer behavior using modern neuromarketing tools, business logistics, and business operations, and in the field of tourism, we focus on destination development opportunities, their perceptual capacity, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. We are currently looking for an addition for teaching in both the areas of trade and international trade, as well as marketing and marketing communication.
What will your job entail?
- leading exercises and seminars within bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and in lifelong learning programs
- controlling studies, verifying students‘ knowledge, and providing further professional guidance to students
- developing educational and scientific-research and creative activities in the given area
- actively participating in solving research projects and grants
- publishing results of scientific-research activities in professional journals and at conferences and seminars
What do we expect from you?
- a university degree at least at the master’s level in a relevant field
- excellent knowledge of the Czech language (teaching will be conducted in Czech)
- the ability to lecture, lead seminars, and engage listeners
- experience in independent creative practical activities
- independence and responsibility
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- the ability to work in a team as well as independently
Required research experience:
- data work – analysis and processing (e.g., data from questionnaires)
- experience with publishing activities and academic writing

Expected start date: March 2026, or by agreement
Duration of employment: for a fixed term of 2 years with the possibility of extension
