The dean of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, invites applications for job vacancy with a deadline for applications July 23, 2025
The conduct of interpreting and translation seminars, particularly from Czech into German, and language seminars aimed at developing spoken and written competences in German.

If the career development plan is required, it must aim to commence the habilitation procedure (procedure for the granting of associate professorship) no later than nine years after the expected beginning of employment.
Based on the committee’s decision, either all applicants or selected applicants only will be invited to the second round of the competition, i.e. an interview.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in translation and interpreting or a university degree of an equivalent level Excellent knowledge of Czech (C2) and German (C2), enabling the conduct of interpreting and translation seminars, particularly from Czech into German, and language seminars aimed at developing spoken and written competences in German Experience of translating as well as interpreting between Czech and German in various fields of human activity; experience of court translation/interpreting is an advantage Experience with teaching; previous teaching experience in translation and interpreting is an advantage Familiarity with remote interpreting is an advantage Experience in managing cross-border projects is also an advantage
