We are the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings of the CTU based in Buštěhrad near Kladno. We connect science with the commercial sphere and bring new solutions to the market that help our users to be one step ahead in technology. Our passion is buildings, cities, energy, environment, innovation and sustainability. We focus on applied research and development in grant projects and contract work for companies.

We are looking for a new colleague to work in the field of sustainable building construction. The role will include activities leading to the implementation of sustainable building principles in practice, with a particular focus on life cycle assessment issues for building products and buildings, participation in the development of the national certification methodology SBToolCZ, and project management assistance in the submission and coordination of national and international research projects.

Job description

  • Work on research projects and contract research contracts in the field of sustainable construction – life cycle assessment of construction products and buildings; sustainability assessment of buildings and neighbourhoods; application of low carbon materials in construction; use of BIM in sustainable construction.
  • Keeping up to date with trends and the latest developments in sustainable construction
  • Analysing data
  • Preparation of documents for scientific research articles

Awaiting

  • Interest in learning and developing in the field of sustainable construction
  • Basic knowledge focused on construction, economics or IT
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
  • Experience with BIM or life cycle assessment an advantage
