IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center is a leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics (HPDA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Computing (QC) and their applications. We have strong international links and employ more than 200 scientific, technical, and administrative staff. At present, IT4Innovations is running two supercomputers: Karolina (15.7 PFlop/s, installed in the summer of 2021), Barbora (849 TFlop/s, installed in the autumn of 2019), and is a member of the consortium operating LUMI, one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers. Activity description:

We are expanding our team by introducing a new position focused on development the integration of quantum machines with classical HPC clusters and extending the software platforms focused on complex computing workflow and data management. This role primarily focuses on communication with stakeholders, including gathering user requirements and synchonizing the development with other project partners on a European scale. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to taking initiative are highly desirable.

The responsibilites of the candidates for this role are:

  • definition of software features based on user requirements focused on integration of heterogenous computational resources,
  • participation on feature design decisions and roadmap defintion,
  • communication with researchers and development team,
  • participation on software development process and issue tracking.

Full time equivalent: full time
Type of job contract: fixed-term employment
Expected start of employment: 1. 2. 2026 or as agreed

We require:

  • proven experience with software development projects and communication with customers,
  • proven experience with customers in international enviroment,
  • experience with software development management,
  • experience with using software quality assurance methods
  • good communication skills in the English language both spoken and written,
  • master’s degree in management or IT related field.

Candidate advantage:

  • experience with working abroad or attending international internship in related field,
