The Department of Green Biotechnology is part of the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice.
The Department’s teaching activities focus on the establishment, maintenance, management, evaluation and protection of green areas in settlements and in the countryside. At the same time, the Department is the guarantor of a significant part of the subjects examined in the state final examinations. Applied research in the field of restoration of monuments of garden and landscape architecture and the introduction of new technologies in the field are also important.

What is this role about?
- pedagogical and research activities in the field of landscape architecture and urban planning
- management of the Department in all areas of its activities, i.e. pedagogical, creative, economic, consulting and others
- elaboration of concepts of specific activities and measures for their implementation
- responsibility for the professional, pedagogical and scientific level of the Department
- responsibility for the efficient use of the entrusted funds and the proper management of its assets
- planning, allocating, controlling and reporting on the fulfilment of teaching activities in guaranteed subjects
- regular evaluation of all activities of the department staff, stimulating teaching, creative and publishing activities
- cooperation with other departments
What do we require from you?
- academic rank of associate professor in the field of landscape architecture and urban planning
- experience in publishing in scientific and professional journals
- advanced knowledge of both Czech and English language for teaching and publication activities
- ability to lead work teams
- experience in research and architectural projects (also international)
- advanced knowledge of MS Office
- excellent presentation skills
- ability to communicate openly and constructively

Job status: 1,0 (40 hours per week)
Expected start: July 2024
Employment contract: for a fixed term of 1 year with the possibility of extension
