What will your job entail?

  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing all aspects of the department’s activities
  • Managing the department’s budget and resources
  • Leading academic and research staff and employees of the department, including their regular evaluations
  • Teaching and scientific research activities in the field
  • Ensuring high-quality education and student guidance
  • Supporting research activities and obtaining grants for the department
  • Collaborating with other departments

What do we expect from you?

  • University education – at least a Ph.D. in the field of forestry, arboriculture, forestry, timber harvesting, or a related field; qualification as an associate professor or professor is an advantage
  • Excellent active command of Czech, knowledge of English for teaching and publication purposes
  • Verifiable research activities in the field of forestry, arboriculture, forestry, timber harvesting, or related fields, experience publishing in journals with an impact factor and leading research projects at both domestic and international levels
  • Ability to navigate labor law regulations and economic rules in higher education
  • Organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Aptitude for both team and independent work
  • Personal and professional prerequisites for educational activities
  • Willingness to work on personal development and professional growth
