What will your responsibilities be?

  • Planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of the department’s activities
  • Managing the department’s budget and resources
  • Leading academic and research personnel and staff, including regular evaluations
  • Pedagogical and research activities in the field
  • Ensuring high quality of teaching and student guidance
  • Supporting research activities and obtaining grants for the department
  • Collaborating with other departments

What do we expect from you?

  • Higher education – at least a Ph.D. in design, furniture, woodworking, or a related field; associate professor or professor titles are an advantage
  • Excellent active knowledge of Czech, knowledge of English for teaching and publishing purposes
  • Documentable research activities in design, furniture, woodworking, and related fields, experience publishing in journals with IF and managing research projects at domestic and international levels
  • Ability to navigate labor laws and economic rules in higher education management
  • Organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Capability for both team and independent work
  • Personal and professional qualities for pedagogical work
  • Willingness to work on personal development and professional growth
