Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, hereby invites applications for the following position:

Head of the Central Instrument Laboratory

Requirements:

  • Completed higher education (Mgr., Ing.) in natural sciences, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or engineering
  • Experience with laboratory operations, instrumentation, and chemical purchasing
  • Experience with methodological or personnel management of a laboratory team is an advantage
  • Familiarity with public procurement and purchasing processes (or willingness to undergo training)
  • Organizational and communication skills, ability to coordinate multiple workplaces simultaneously
  • Good knowledge of Czech and English
  • Good user knowledge of IT
  • Driving licence B

Responsibilities:

  • Support for the relocation of the Faculty of Pharmacy to the new Mephared2 campus and the launch of research laboratory work
  • Ensure the efficient, reliable, and sustainable operation of shared research laboratories and large-scale instruments
  • Optimize the use of equipment capacities, coordinate the procurement and servicing of instruments and equipment across the faculty, reduce duplication and inefficiencies, and minimize operational risks
  • Provide methodological guidance to laboratory technicians at the departments and support the unification of laboratory work standards
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, internal, and scientific standards (including public procurement)
  • Support the faculty’s research activities by providing adequate technological and personnel resources

Salary conditions according to the valid Internal Wage Regulations of Charles University with the prospect of an increase in the form of a personal evaluation after the expiration probation period and any other incentive rewards.

The estimated monthly wage : 39.000 CZK – 44.000 CZK (for a 1,0 FTE)
