Overview

The Czech Centre for Phenogenomics, a member of the IMPC and Infrafrontier consortia, is seeking motivated and responsible candidates for the position of ‚Head of the PDX and Cancer Models Unit‘ (https://www.phenogenomics.cz/phenotyping/pdx-and-cancer-models/). This unit is dedicated to the development of novel orthotopic mouse and rat PDX models used in cancer, immunology, and pharmacology research.

 

The successful candidate will lead a small team of technical specialists and collaborate with other units within the international Phenotyping Module of CCP. We are looking for a dedicated and professional individual who meets the following requirements:

Job description :

  • Management, implementation, and supervision of PDX/CDX experiments, ensuring high scientific standards and compliance with relevant protocols; ensuring cooperation with other units involved in phenotyping
  • Management and supervision of laboratory technicians within the PDX unit
  • Project design and consulting, Provision of expert advice and design of research projects within CCP projects and for external clients
  • Optimizing PDX research design for our users: Improving the existing PDX/cancer research infrastructure to better support user needs/improve methodologies and introduce new technologies specific to cancer research
  • Another tasks according to instruction from supervisors Preparation of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Preclinical Research and Contract Research, Grant Applications and Publications

 

Required Skills/qualification:

  • Education in biological, veterinary, medical or related field
  • Medical eligibility for work with laboratory animals and animal samples (rodents)
  • Working knowledge of English language
