Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions

for the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM,
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004607,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Commenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

to fill research position:

FaF_VZ4_103: Researcher (junior), 0,25 FTE (0,25 %)

Place of work: Hradec Králové

Responsibilities:

  • Independently carries out research activities for the NETPHARM project WP4,
  • is capable of designing, planning and conducting statistical analyses of clinical research studies for the NETPHARM project WP4, and is capable of independently publishing partial professional outputs of the project,
  • has significant practical clinical experience in the methodology of processing statistical outputs, has knowledge and practical experience regarding analyses using large database files of geriatric patients
  • has sufficient experience in epidemiological research to participate in the NETPHARM project WP4
  • is capable of managing the work of students and postgraduate students involved in the WP4 of the NETPHARM project research
  • is able to competently interpret the results of epidemiological analyses and propose designs for statical testing
  • is able to present and publish the obtained results in national and international scale
  • is able to participate in the preparation of national and international grant projects
  • is able to prepare significant application outputs and project activities with an emphasis on application potential
  • participates in the meetings and key activities of the WP4 of the NETPHARM project,
  • in case of finding risk activities, non-compliance with timelines, etc., escalates the identified risks to the direct superior position, namely the head of WP4 of the NETPHARM project Assoc. Prof. Fialová.

Profile:

  • A researcher who has not more than 7 years since the award of his/her academic degree Ph.D. or its equivalent (equivalent to level 8 according to ISCED) – is recommended
  • Completed doctoral studies (Ph.D.) in statistics, epidemiology or related fields in the Czech Republic or achieved a comparable degree at a foreign university, no later than the day of starting work.
  • Recommended H-index ≥ 3, minimum, at least 1 first-author publication (preferably with IF ≥ 3), recommendation letter from 2 experts in the fields listed above, grant activity is an advantage, active knowledge of the English language.
  • Active scientific and publication activity
  • Previous experience in cooperation on international grants is an advantage

The estimated monthly wage: 62 000 CZK (1,0 FTE)

The start of work: 1 June 2025 or can be negotiated

Type of employment contract: for 1 year, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 29 February 2028.

Employment: part-time (0,25 FTE).
