Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions

for the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM,
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004607,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Commenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

to fill research position:

FaF_VZ1_31: PhD Student, 0,2 FTE (20 %),

Place of work: Hradec Králové

Responsibilities:

  • Independent performance of research activities in synthetic organic chemistry,
  • design, organization of work, planning and execution of experiments for WP1, publication of scientific results,
  • research work in a synthetic laboratory, performing syntheses of selected compounds suitable for their subsequent bioconjugation,
  • evaluation of physical and spectral data of the prepared compounds,
  • presentation and publication of results on an international level,
  • involvement in the preparation of related national and international projects,
  • participation in key project activities with emphasis on application potential,
  • immediate escalation of any identified risks to a superior position.

Profile:

  • An advantage is 1 publication, a letter of recommendation from 1 expert in the field, required education in the relevant field, grant activity, active knowledge of the English language.
  • Scientific and publishing activity in the field of organic and bioorganic chemistry is an advantage.
  • Experience in chemical laboratory, synthetic work under inert atmosphere, processing and analyzing spectral data.
  • Completed first degree in pharmacy, organic or bioorganic chemistry is necessary.

The estimated monthly wage: 45 000 CZK (1,0 FTE)

The start of work: 1 July 2024

Type of employment contract: for 1 year, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 29 February 2028.

Employment: part-time (0.2 FTE)
