Přehled

This internship offers students the opportunity to explore the technical and analytical frontiers of dynamic X-ray imaging, with a focus on time-resolved 4D XCT applied to smart and responsive materials. Interns will engage with real experimental data and contribute to the development of data-driven methods for analyzing complex material behavior in motion.

The research experience connects advanced imaging systems with modern approaches to data processing and machine learning. From physical acquisition to intelligent interpretation, students will gain hands-on experience with the full research workflow in an interdisciplinary and innovation-driven environment.

What Will the Internship Involve?

• Working with time-resolved 4D X-ray CT data acquired from dynamic experiments
• Preprocessing and segmenting volumetric datasets using scripting or open-source tools
• Introducing machine learning methods for pattern recognition and data interpretation
• Shadowing the development of analysis pipelines for real-world research problems
• Experiencing a short-term introductory internship with potential for further specialization in follow-up projects

Skills You’ll Need:

• Curiosity about X-ray imaging for volumetric microstructural analysis
• Basic familiarity with coding and data processing (e.g. Python, MATLAB, or similar)
• Willingness to learn and engage with technical workflows
• No prior experience with XCT or machine learning required — just a motivation to explore

What We Offer:
• Flexible working hours tailored to your academic needs
• Hands-on experience with dynamic 4D XCT and cutting-edge data tools
• Opportunity to contribute to real-world research in a top-tier lab
• Mentorship from an interdisciplinary and supportive teamJoin the dynamic frontier – where X-ray imaging and machine learning accelerate discovery
