ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE POSITION
Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs (RILSA)
is a public research institution conducting applied research in labour, social affairs, and public policy at the national and international levels.
We announce a selection procedure for the position of
Chief Data Analyst

Are you passionate about transforming data into insights that support evidence-informed policy-making? We are seeking a highly motivated data professional to lead our research and analytical efforts related to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic (MoLSA). The position involves high-impact research, policy evaluation, and strategic data development in the labour and social affairs sector.
Main responsibilities include:
- leading analytical and research activities focused on social and labour market policies in cooperation with MoLSA and other stakeholders
- development, processing, and interpretation of large datasets (administrative, survey, and other relevant data)
- coordinating and conducting research projects funded by national (e.g. TAČR, GAČR) and international sources (e.g. Horizon Europe)
- communicating findings and preparing policy briefs, impact studies, and academic publications
- presenting results at conferences and expert meetings
- identifying and implementing innovations in data analytics, including AI/ML approaches
- mentoring junior analysts and building internal capacities for advanced data analytics
- collaborating with academic institutions, public authorities, and international organisations
Requirements:
- university degree (preferably Ph.D.) in statistics, data science, economics, sociology, or a related field
- proven experience in quantitative research and data analysis
- proficiency in analytical tools (e.g. R, Python, SQL, Stata) and data infrastructure
- knowledge of Czech, written and spoken English (min. B2)
- understanding of labour market and social policies is a strong advantage
- experience with team leadership and project management is a plus
