is looking for excellent candidates for a position of

Junior Group Leader in Environmental Science

What would be your main responsibilities

  • to establish, develop & lead his/her own independent research team.
  • to develop your own research topics
  • to find synergy with other research groups at the faculty,
  • to apply for international & national research grants (e.g. ERC, GACR JUNIOR STAR, etc.),
  • to motivate and help with a professional growth of your team

The start-up package includes

Competitive candidates are expected to

  • receive a PhD diploma between 01 Jan 2014 – 31 Dec 2019 (or earlier by parental leave period),
  • have international research experience & excellent knowledge of English,
  • spend at least 2 years outside the Czech Republic as a postdoc in 3 years prior to the beginning of the position,
  • publish at least 2 reviewed articles between Jan 2019 – Dec 2020,
  • start his/her work at the faculty between 01 Jun 2021 – 01 Jan 2022, or by an agreement,
  • ask innovative scientific questions,
  • have a vision of own high-risk-high-gain independent research projects,
  • demonstrate a promising track record including publications & funding,
