Overview
About us
Our laboratory is a world-class research facility in the field of drug development for growth disorders (achondroplasia, brittle bone disease, others). We host several international scientists and offer an excellent opportunity for a successful career in this field. We combine animal physiology, cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry to uncover molecular mechanisms of disease and accelerate therapeutic discovery.
Position overview
We are seeking a Bioinformatician with expertise in genomics and proteomics data analysis to join our interdisciplinary research team. The ideal candidate will design and implement computational pipelines, analyze high-dimensional omics datasets, mine public databases and contribute to hypothesis development and data interpretation in collaboration with experimental scientists.
Key responsibilities
Integrating multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics). Data processing and visualization of genomics and proteomics datasets. Collaborate with biologists to interpret results and generate insights. Use computing environments and cloud-based analysis platforms. Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and grant proposals.
Qualifications
Successful candidate should have:
- MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience with data analysis generated by NGS, proteomics, single-cell omics and spatial genomics.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, and Linux command-line environments.
- Familiarity with databases such as Ensembl, UniProt, NCBI, STRING, Reactome, Protein Data Bank and PRIDE/PeptideAtlas.
