In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline April 30, 2026

This is an audition for the position of a permanent employee of the Department of Condensed Matter Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The salary will be paid from the department’s internal resources.

Qualifications

Expertise in the field of condensed matter physics and materials research, especially in the field of experimental research of advanced materials (e.g., altermagnets), their crystal growth, and structural and electron analysis. Professional experience in the field, with an emphasis on the ability to integrate scientific activities, teaching, and supervising student theses. Permanent publication activity in the field. Teaching in Czech and English is expected.
