Academic Position at the The Department of Crop Science, Breeding and Plant Protection, Faculty of AgriSciences
Research area: diseases of field, garden, and ornamental plants
The plant protection team focuses on the comprehensive study of plant pathogens and pests with the aim of their reliable identification and effective protection of plant production. Team members engage in both molecular and morphological determination of fungi, bacteria, viruses, and animal pests. They connect modern laboratory methods with classical diagnostic approaches. The results of their work contribute to the protection of agricultural and ornamental plants. Emphasis is placed on sustainable and targeted plant protection.
What will your responsibilities be?
- conducting lectures, practicals, and excursions in the fields of Plant Protection, Phytotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, Professional Agriculture, General Agriculture
- collaboration on lectures in both Czech and English
- supervising, consulting, and reviewing students’ theses
- developing educational and scientific-research activities in the field
- actively participating in research projects and grants
- publishing results in professional and scientific journals, and presenting at conferences and seminars
What do we expect from you?
- higher education at least at the master’s level in the field of phytopathology, plant protection, or a related field
- excellent knowledge of Czech and English
- orientation in the field, ability to perform expert work
- potential for scientific-research activities
- publishing activity
- driving license group B, active driver
What additional qualifications will we appreciate?
- completed or ongoing Ph.D. studies in the field
