Academic position at the Department of Marketing and Trade, Faculty of Business and Economics

Research area: consumer behavior, international trade, business processes

The Department of Marketing and Trade provides education in marketing, trade, and tourism at the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, the Faculty of Horticulture, and the Institute of Lifelong Learning. It significantly participates in research activities in several directions. Staff members of the department engage in grant projects, and to date, several significant projects funded by GAČR and TAČR have been carried out. The Department of Marketing and Trade employs teams of specialists focusing on current topics in the fields of marketing, trade, and tourism, where they develop scientific research and educational activities. We specialize in consumer behavior, observation of consumer behavior using modern neuromarketing tools, business logistics, and commercial operations, and in tourism, we focus on the development potential of destinations and their perceptual capacity, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. We are currently looking for a new team member for teaching and research in the area of trade and international trade.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • preparation and delivery of lectures focused on trade and international trade
  • solving scientific projects focused on trade and consumer behavior
  • preparation and coordination of grant applications and projects including international ones
  • supervision and opposition of students’ final theses
  • coordination and leading of scientific and research tasks
  • communicating the results of your scientific research activities to the professional community through
  • publications, especially in scientific journals
  • active participation in conferences and seminars

What do we expect from you?

  • Ph.D. level university education in a relevant field
  • ability to deliver lectures and publish in English
  • publication activity in journals indexed in Scopus and WoS databases
  • experience in independent creative practical work
  • ability to lecture, conduct seminars, and engage listeners
  • independence and responsibility, excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work in a team as well as independently

What research experience do we require?

  • data work, analysis, and processing of data (e.g., data from questionnaires)
  • experience with publication activity and academic writing

What additional skills will we appreciate?

  • knowledge of IBM SPSS Statistics software, SQL
