Job title: Assistant or associate professor in Russian literature Job description: Teaching Russian literature (mainly classical) and Russian culture in undergraduate and graduate programmes Supervision of bachelor, master and dissertation theses and projects Original research and publications in major peer-reviewed journals and scientific monographs Regular active participation in international conferences Preparation of grant projects and participation in their solution Active participation in establishing and maintaining international and intra-university cooperation Popularisation activities for the public Participation in the administrative and organisational operation of the Institute of East European Studies Expected salary/job rank: AP2 – 19,500 CZK per month (Part time employment)

If the career development plan is required, it must aim to commence the habilitation procedure (procedure for the granting of associate professorship) no later than nine years after the expected beginning of employment.

Qualifications

  • Job requirements: at least a Ph.D. degree teaching experience ability to teach in Czech, English and/or Russian adequate professional and publishing activity in the field (with a view to starting the habilitation procedure within nine years) organisational and administrative skills
