The dean of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, invites applications for job vacancy with a deadline for applications August 15, 2025

Job description: Participation in research and publishing activities in the above-mentioned areas of expertise within the focus of the entire Department of Social Work Active participation in domestic and international conferences and other activities, cooperation in the organization of international workshops, scientific conferences, professional discussions and other activities, including student participation Participation in the preparation and implementation of grant projects aimed at developing international cooperation Teaching in the above-mentioned areas and other relevant disciplines Supervision and review of theses Participation in other activities of the department Basic salary scale for academic position AP2: CZK 19,500 per month.

If the career development plan is required, it must aim to commence the habilitation procedure (procedure for the granting of associate professorship) no later than nine years after the expected beginning of employment.

Based on the committee’s decision, either all applicants or selected applicants only will be invited to the second round of the competition, i.e. an interview.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in law, social policy, social work, sociology, or other related fields, expertise in human rights. Previous teaching, research, and other creative activities in the required field. Experience and practice in research or applied projects and grants. The candidate should be able to teach in both Czech and English.
