In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline September 15, 2025

Scientific and creative work in physics education, teaching students of teacher training programs, supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses.

Candidates who progress to the second round of the selection procedure will be invited to an interview. The interview may be conducted by means of information and communication technology if justified, at the request of the candidate. The Committee may invite selected candidates to give a lecture to the academic community of the Faculty.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree Ph.D. (or equivalent) in physics education or an equivalent field, ability to integrate research activities, teaching, other creative activities and supervision of student works, publications in physics education in relevant journals and at relevant conferences, excellent knowledge of English, several years of experience teaching physics at upper secondary school, ability to teach in Czech.
