Institute of Animal Science in Prague Uhříněves is looking for an animal scientist in genomics and breeding small ruminants.
Research in genetics and genomics of small ruminants. Duties will be oriented toward pedigree, phenotypic, and high-density genomic data analysis. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, genetic and genomic prediction, development of breeding programmes, data editing and analysis, maintenance of software and servers, and contributing to publishing research results. The successful candidate will be expected to accomplish the research goals, prepare manuscripts for publication and prepare competitive grant proposals.
A PhD (or equivalent) in quantitative genetics or genomics is highly recommended, as well as knowledge of small ruminants would be highly desirable as a strong interest in breeding farm animals.
